A friend got me a ticket to tonight's White Sox game, but a bunch of my other friends are going to the Grant Park Music Festival to hear the Levin completion of Mozart's Requiem. Possibly I'll go to that tomorrow, except...none of my friends can go tomorrow. Le sigh. Either way, I get to ride on the Red Line! Joy, rapture, etc.

I'm making a "hearty ragu" tomorrow, which will take all day in a slow cooker. I've made essentially the same recipe before, but this time I decided to figure out the nutritional value. I've just spent exactly one hour and six minutes with Claude Code on the next epic I'm building for this application. That's as long as it took a mix of two models and two effort levels to take an architecture document I wrote earlier today (time spent: 1 hour, 3 minutes), analyze it, read the codebase, figure out the architecture, identify the gotchas and things I missed, and generate seven full-fledged implementation specs adequate for Claude Sonnet to work from.

Republicans have hated Head Start since Lyndon Johnson signed it into law in 1965, and for good reason: it gives those people's children a fighting chance to keep up with their wealthier, whiter peers. Since we can't have that, the OAFPOTUS's droogs have proposed quietly dismantling the program by eliminating most of the regulations that make it work. In other words, since they can't actually kill Head Start without a noisy Congressional debate, they're just going to make it impossible to function, like...
I just launched v1.0.9713 of this application, and you probably won't notice the minor UI changes that it contains. The really huge part of this release is the work I did over the past several days building out a suite of import classes from a prototype so that I could import a ton of data spanning almost five decades.
