Finals begin Dec. 10 (16:00 EST)

Brooklyn Law School final examinations begin for your web designer Wednesday Dec.10 at 6pm. After exams on the 10th, Monday the 15th, and Thursday the 18th, your web designer gets a vacation from school until Monday Jan. 12.

Finals end; sanity returning slowly (12:15 EST)

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (UPI)--Your web designer earned his 71st hour of law school at 12:15 today by completing his last final examination of the Fall 1997 semester. After completing International Law, Family Law, and Corporations this term, your web designer now looks forward to three weeks without classes, and three months without learning this semester’s grades.

Spring 1998 classes begin Jan. 12, and will include Copyright, Law and Technology, Professional Responsibility, and Wills, totalling 10 semester hours of credit.

The American Bar Association requires 86 hours for a law degree.

Solstice approaches (15:09 EST)

Pearson proposal proceeds (9:00 EST)

ARLINGTON, Vt., Dec. 22 (Reuters)--Sara Lee Bakery Purchasing Associate Sean Pearson, 27, of Chicago, and Valerie Martin, 27, of Vernon Center, N.Y., agreed to marry last night while vacationing in an undisclosed location in Arlington, Vt.

Pearson presented Martin with a 0.98-Karat diamond ring to seal the engagement, sources said.

The marriage will take place on 14 August 1999 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Oneida, N.Y., according to earlier press reports.

Arlington, population 1311, lies about 20 km north of Bennington in southwestern Vermont.
