Q2 to get new voicemail system (14:00 EST)
Q2 began installation work on a new PC-based voicemail system that will eliminate the aggravating system in use since August. The new system will no longer require callers to enter special mailbox numbers to leave voicemails, and will end the delays that have frequently occurred with Q2's current system.

Pearson to wed Martin; proposal expected at Christmas (12:20 EST)
CHICAGO, Nov. 11 (AP)--In a press release sent to friends and relatives this morning, Sara Lee Bakery Purchasing Associate Sean Pearson, 27, of Chicago, announced tentative shareholder approval for his merger bid to Valerie Martin, 27, of Vernon Center, N.Y.
Pearson announced that Martin’s parents had approved the merger in confidential negotiations over the weekend. The formal proposal will take place in Oneida Castle, N.Y., on Dec. 25, and Pearson will secure his required tender offer--a one-carat diamond ring--by Nov. 26, the press release said.
Sources said Martin is expected to accept unequivocally. Pearson was not immediately available for comment, but is expected to make a full statement Friday in Chicago.
The marriage will take place on 14 August 1999 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Oneida, N.Y., the press relase said.

Sunrise bug corrected; programmer shot (17:30 EST)
An omission in the Greetings widget (the left-hand sidebar on the website's main page) caused all sunrise and sunset times to appear in the server's time zone. We have corrected the bug. Sunrise and sunset times should appear correctly on the main page for all cities.

Richard Aishton, father of Peter and Nancy, grandfather of your web designer, turned 76 years old today, according to sources speaking under condition of anonymity from his Kenilworth, Ill. estate.

Aishtons' ages advance
Your web designer's grandmother, Joan D. Aishton, turned 72 today, making her the second Aishton in the last week to have a birthday. (See related story.) She lives with her husband Richard in Kenilworth, Ill.
