Website Improves Improbably (15:15 EDT)
Lots of new features have appeared at this site:
- We've converted from straight HTML to Microsoft Active Server Pages. This bit of news, for example, is actually a dynamically-constructed HTML item stored in a server-side database.
- The site now remembers who you are by depositing cookies hither and yon. Soon, the External Links page will change depending on your city, your timezone, and other information we can derive from you.
- Server-side Microsoft ActiveX Components provide useless tidbits of information like the current GMT and timezone. In the future, these components will proliferate and be more or less useful.
Keep watching this site for exciting new developments.

Sunrise calculator works without ActiveX (11:00 EDT)
Those users who still haven't upgraded to Microsoft Internet Explorer can now get sunrise and sunset information about any city listed. Though the calculation has less flexibility than the ActiveX Sunrise Calculator, it works with obsolete browsers (i.e., browsers that don't support Microsoft ActiveX Components.
