Gee, is that a demand?

How exactly does printing the name of the author of content on World 'o Crap make the attribution more meaningful? Would a picture of the author make it more meaningful? How about her address and phone number; would that make it more meaningful?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the author's name is irrelevant to the content of the blog "World o' Crap" and it is not your place to request that it be included.

I note in passing that the author of the somewhat dated-sounding "Weblog Usability" guide you cite derives pleasure from being recognized as the author of a hypercard stack by virtue of his thoughtful inclusion of a photograph of himself in it. Good for him; he's welcome to the recognition he desires, of course, but it's just silly-- and a little offensive, in my opinion-- to chastise the decision by some to not desire this as a "design mistake."
